How it works
Placing a pixel is three steps.
The board updates for everyone within a moment. That is the whole game — the rest is what you build with it.
Pick a colour
16 colours are free for everyone. Keys 1–0 bind the ones you use most, E is an eyedropper.
Click a cell
Drag to pan, scroll or pinch to zoom, arrow keys nudge the selection. Cmd/Ctrl K jumps to any coordinate.
Confirm
One pixel is one XP. Burst mode queues several placements at once and spends your stored pixels in order.
Nobody places faster than you
Free players regenerate one pixel every 30 seconds and store up to five. PixelField Pro raises the cap to ten. The cooldown itself is identical for everyone — Pro is capacity and cosmetics, never speed.
On the canvas
A pixel canvas online, with real tools.
Everything you need to find your spot, see what everyone else is doing, and get back to it tomorrow.
Always know where you are
The minimap shows your viewport on the whole board. Click anywhere on it to travel.
See where everyone is
The heatmap overlay marks the busiest regions of the last ten minutes — useful when a pixel war starts.
Every cell has a story
Right-click or long-press any pixel for its current colour, who placed it, how long ago, and a link to their profile.
Jump anywhere in one keystroke
Coordinates, tools and overlays from a single palette. Colours bind to 1–0, E is the eyedropper.
Spend a full stack at once
Queue several placements and burst mode spends your stored pixels in order, one cell at a time.
Built for phones too
Same canvas, same board, thumb-reachable toolbar. Nothing to install — it is a browser game.
Template overlay
Build something bigger than one pixel.
Upload a reference image and the template overlay quantises it to the palette, pins it to a spot on the board, and tracks progress: how many cells are done, how many are wrong. It is the tool that turns a clan from a chat group into a construction crew.
- Quantises any image to the 24-colour palette
- Pins to fixed coordinates so a whole clan works from the same grid
- Flags wrong cells so repairs are obvious
- Finished regions export as a PNG at up to 2048px
Timelapse
Nothing here disappears at the end of the weekend.
The canvas is permanent, so its history keeps growing. Scrub the pixel canvas timelapse to watch a region get built, defended, overwritten and rebuilt.
Progression
One pixel is one XP.
Levels unlock badges, profile borders, extra palette options and higher stored capacity at milestones. Coins come from daily login streaks, placement milestones, achievements and leaderboard finishes — and buy cosmetics only.
Daily, weekly, all-time
Three boards, so a good afternoon counts even if you started late.
Every pixel scores for your flag
A country board and a clan board that sums each clan's members. Reason enough to bring friends.
mira PRO
A page for what you built
Public profiles at /u/username, clans at /clans/tag. Share a coordinate and people land exactly there.
Free vs Pro
Free forever. Pro if you want the extras.
The same 30-second cooldown applies to everyone, and no pixel is protected. Pro raises capacity and unlocks cosmetics.

FAQ
Questions people ask before playing.
Is PixelField free?
Yes. Anyone can watch the canvas without logging in, and placing pixels only needs a free account. You regenerate one pixel every 30 seconds and store up to five. PixelField Pro is optional.
Is this an r/place clone?
PixelField is inspired by collaborative pixel canvases like r/place, but it is a standalone game: a permanent board with its own progression, clans, leaderboards and template tools. It is not affiliated with Reddit.
When is the next r/place?
That is up to Reddit, and nobody outside Reddit knows in advance. If you are looking for somewhere to place pixels today, PixelField runs permanently — no event window to wait for.
Does the canvas ever reset?
The main canvas is permanent. Seasonal canvases run alongside it for events, and they never overwrite the main board.
Do I need to download anything?
No. It is a free browser game with no download: drag to pan, scroll or pinch to zoom, click or tap to place. It works the same on desktop and mobile.
How does the template maker work?
Upload a reference image. The overlay quantises it to the palette, pins it to a spot on the board, and tracks how many cells are done and how many are wrong, so a group can split the work.
Can I play with friends?
Yes — that is most of the fun. Create or join a clan, share a link to any coordinate, and every pixel you place also scores a point for your country on the country board.
Does Pro let me place pixels faster?
No. Everyone regenerates at the same rate. Pro raises how many pixels you can store and unlocks cosmetics — it never lets anyone overwrite the board faster than you.
Pick a colour. Claim a pixel.
Build something together.
Watching is free and needs no account. Placing takes about twenty seconds to set up.
Seasonal canvases run alongside the main board — nothing you build there gets wiped.
